I found a really neat on-line site that teaches keyboarding to students. My second graders are learning to keyboard during our RME Lab time. Hopefully, by the end of the year, they will be able to type an original paragraph and print it. It's through the BBC and the kids are loving it.

My third, fourth, and fifth graders are practicing for the LEAP and iLEAP tests at the LDE Louisiana Pass Website. The URL is http://www.louisianapass.org. The first time sign-in password is tiger. Follow the step-by-step instructions to set up an account. This is a great place for students to get a feel for what the actual test will be like.
